Job Description

$25 to $38hr Depending on experience!

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrated proficiency setting up machines: screen printer, Pick & Place, and reflow oven
  • Process control and operator level of preventative maintenance of the above equipment
  • Perform loading and unloading to and from machine independently
  • Proficient in adjusting SMT programming to correct identified errors.
  • Set up feeder to machine per set up
  • Perform the simple machine change over
  • Identify the basic SMT components
  • Set up SMT parts to correct feeder
  • Make sure all process tools, stencils or fixtures are in house before starting the set-up process
  • Checking machinery to ensure they are operated in a safe manner
  • Alert supervisory and maintenance colleagues regarding necessary equipment repairs
  • Ensure assembled product meets compliance standards
  • Other various tasks as needed to support customer requirements and production schedule

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain a high level of accuracy. Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings, work instructions, and component specifications. Basic understanding of electronic components and their identification.
  • Proficiency in operating computers and navigating software applications. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Basic problem-solving skills and willingness to learn to troubleshoot equipment issues. Effective communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) prevention.
  • Familiarity with SMT processes, equipment, and technology is preferred but not required.
  • Must be a U.S. Person per EAR Part 772 and ITAR 120.15

Minimum Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must have 3 - 5 years of experience with SMT and through-hole assembly or hands on experience as an SMT operator
  • Prior contract manufacturing experience is a plus
  • Ideally have experience with component packages
  • Ability to read set up lists
  • Knowledge of electronic components
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, familiarity and comfort working with computers
  • Mechanical skills an asset
  • Comply with general and machine safety requirements
